Genuine Herbalife in the UK: why it only comes from an official member
Herbalife does not sell on Amazon, eBay or any marketplace, and it forbids its members from doing so. That rule exists for one reason: to keep every tub traceable from the factory to your kitchen. Outside that channel, nobody can tell you where a product has been – or whether it is even real.
The real risk: counterfeit clones
Herbalife forbids marketplace sales to protect quality and traceability. Once a tub leaves that chain, a near-identical label can sit on a product nobody has verified. Not every listing on a marketplace is fake – but from the listing alone, you cannot tell which ones are.

Why the ban on marketplaces exists – and what it means for you
Herbalife's member rules prohibit selling on third-party marketplaces. The reason is quality control and traceability: when a product moves only from Herbalife's warehouse to a registered member to you, every batch can be traced by lot number and every tub is guaranteed sealed, in date and stored correctly.
The moment a product is listed by an anonymous seller, that chain is broken. And that is where the real risk sits: counterfeit clones – tubs with a near-identical label and a look-alike shake inside whose contents nobody has verified. This is not a theoretical risk: Herbalife itself warns that counterfeit and tampered products are sold through e-commerce sites by unauthorised sellers, some using fake “authorisation letters”, and police have dismantled a factory producing fake Herbalife shakes with copied labels for sale online. A label is far easier to copy than the formula behind it.
Less dramatic but far more common: short-dated or expired stock sold at a "bargain", products imported from other markets with a different formula and foreign label, and tubs with a broken seal or missing scoop. None of these can happen when you buy from an official member.

- Lot number and best-before date printed on the tub (not a sticker)

Is Herbalife sold on Amazon or eBay by Herbalife itself?
No. Herbalife does not sell through Amazon, eBay or any other marketplace. Its products are distributed exclusively through Herbalife Independent Members, and Herbalife's member rules do not permit listing products on third-party marketplaces. Any Herbalife listing on a marketplace is an unauthorised resale with no traceability.
Why is Herbalife sometimes cheaper on marketplaces?
Because you cannot see what you are buying. Marketplace listings are often short-dated stock, opened or re-packaged items, imports with a different formula, or counterfeit clones with a copied label. How can I tell if a Herbalife product is genuine?
Genuine products come factory-sealed with an intact tamper seal, a lot number and best-before date printed on the tub or box, and the current Herbalife UK label in English. Buying directly from an Independent Member is the only way to be certain the product came straight from Herbalife's UK warehouse.
Do I have to join Herbalife or attend meetings to buy?

Where does HerbalPlus ship from?
Every order is dispatched directly from Herbalife's UK warehouse to your door, usually within 1–3 working days by DPD with tracking. We never hold old stock.
